This is the first “TIE Fighter” released by LEGO in 1999. Despite the set number being 7150. Set 7146 TIE Fighter actually came out 2 years later.
Also interesting.. this set isn’t the TIE Fighter.. it’s Vader’s TIE Advanced. Not the first time LEGO didn't have a clue what they were to call a set.
.. and LEGO re-issued this set 2 more times. Set 7152 re-rerelease
Set 7262 ToysRUs Exclusive Re-release
New boxes and set numbers are the only differences as far as I know.
The droid in this set is less than perfect. I bought the set used but the seller cobbled the droid together with much newer legs. I’ll have to get that fixed.
Despite that this is a classic set and a welcome addition to my TIE Fighter collection.
