Studio Refresh

 

 A little studio refresh.. started out as a “let’s fit in the Razor Crest UCS and Bowser set..” and turned into a refresh and cleaning session. 

This is where I live build all of my sets Lego and non-Lego. 

I operate 6 livestreams at once utilizing 1 old Laptop, 3 Logitech HD webcams, 1 boom mic, 32inch LCD monitor, and a myriad of 6500mcd lights all in a meager 79x79 inch area. 

Literally hundreds of backlog sets are in those shelves and the “loft” overhead.  

I like showcasing not just the new Lego like those sets or the super rare and unreleased Overwatch 2 Titan set but also the non Lego major brands. 

Mega Brands (formerly Mega Construx and then formerly Mega Blocks) is well represented with Pokémon, Halo, Game of Thrones and my new favourite Hot Wheels. 

McFarlane Toys with AMC The Walking Dead and South Park sets. Sluban with lots of 6 & 8 wide Cars and some Pacific Rim Jaegers. Dragon and Sembo blocks with a few car sets each. Even Cobi has a few notable spots in my backlog with their Top Gun movie tie-in series

Lego is still the center and majority of my collection. But I get great joy, and satisfaction not be limited to only the Lego world. 

Currently I’m working through a half dozen non branded sets and then I intend to start in on all the cars and trucks sets from all manufacturers that I have in my backlog.

Love this vintage car..

Todays afternoon build. Love this Sembo set. No surprises. Brick quality was decent. Clutch was on par with #lego. Think this is the second Sembo car and maybe the 10th Sembo set I’ve built over the years. Usually they don’t disappoint. I’ll definitely try a few more cars they have from various eras in car history.
